WOHL- Joseph J., 76. Passed away April 25, 2026 at Windber Hospice. Born May 17, 1949 in Johnstown. Son of Joseph and Betty (Sarver) Wohl. Preceded in death by parents, brother James Owen's, nieces Tammy Ruprecht and Mary Jo Owen's, and stepson Dr. Mark R. Larnick. Survived by wife of 25 years, Paulette (Howard); son Joseph Jr.; step daughter Brooke (Larnick) Raino and her former husband Bryan; grandchildren, Paisley Wohl and Chase and Luke Raino; sister Darla Wonders; special niece, Becky Balog and other nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law, Chris (Linda) and Floyd (Elaine) Howard. Attended Westmont Presbyterian Church. He was an excellent high school basketball player. Joe retired from Carlisle SynTec Systems as a Trainer, training in all US states but one. Also, trained in other countries such as Mexico, Germany and South Africa. Before moving back to Windber from Chambersburg and Carlisle, he and Paulette helped in many charitable organizations, including Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends in Myrtle Beach, going on annual trips to North Carolina with family and taking a special trip to Disney with his grandchildren. Friends will be received on Thursday from 5:00 until time of funeral service at 7:00 at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home. Pastor Chris Valente, officiating. Interment at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to Windber Hospice or the Humane Society of Cambria County.
