Joseph A. Barbera, 89, Johnstown, died April 6, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital (Johnstown, PA). Born June 6, 1934 in Johnstown, son of Vincenzo and Mary (Rovida) Barbera. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Barbara "Babs" (Barber); brothers Nicholas and Philip, and numerous sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-law. Survived by in-laws, Dolores Barbera, Marilyn Barbera, Bonnie Barber, Janet Barber, and Jack Luke, and; numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews; and special friend, Rilla Manno. He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church. Joe was the proprietor of the former Johnstown Auto Sales. He was a US Army Veteran. Family and friends received 3-7PM Thursday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. Funeral mass will be held 10AM Friday at St. Clare of Assisi Church with Father George Gulash as celebrant. Committal, St. Anthony Cemetery.
