John J. Solarczyk

John J. Solarczyk, "Yunk", 88, Cresson, died April 6, 2025, at McCollough Place. Born June 20, 1936, in Lilly. Son of the late Albert and Anna (Kodosky) Solarczyk. Survived by wife of 65 years, Veronica (Philips) Solarczyk; children Greg and Kathleen (Dennis Dombrosky); grandchildren Arthur Shaffer, Benjamin and Owen Dombrosky; great grandchildren Gage and Aiden; siblings Mary Louise (Francis Risko), Francis Solarczyk (Theresa); also, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Avid outdoorsman with a love for hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a park ranger with the National Park Service. Enjoyed golf and baseball. He retired from teaching at Penn Cambria. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 3:00 pm with a receiving of friends to follow the funeral until 5:00 pm, at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Fr. Matthew Baum. Interment St. Aloysius Cemetery.
