DABBS- John Jarvis, Sr., 85, Johnstown. Went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2020. Born June 6, 1935 in Johnstown. Son of George and Sophia (DeCrignis) Dabbs. Preceded in death by parents, wife of 61 years, Bette Louise (Rogers) and sister Joan Shingler. Survived by children John married to Kristina (Krzysko) of Hanover, Diana James married to Robert of Pittsburgh, Lori Afflerbach married to Shawn of Allentown, Dan married to Denise of Johnstown and David married to Stacy (Podlucky) of Johnstown; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Shana, Lee, Cory, Justin, Jarod, Daniel Jr., Michael, Emily, Ethan and Ella; 2 great grandchildren, Lily and Mason; brother Eddie; sister Georgetta LaBuda and Loving special sister Antoinette Wendel. John Joined the Marine Corps at 17, having served four years in Japan. He retired from Johnstown America Corp. (1956-1997.) Also, he was an avid hockey fan, loving husband, father and Pappy.
