Joann (Mirabile) Reiser

Joann Reiser, 78, Geistown, passed peacefully at home following a courageous eight-year battle with multiple myeloma. Born June 30,1946 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Lecci) Mirabile. Preceded in death by sister, Angeline. Survived by husband Jim Reiser who she married June 15, 1968. Also survived by children: James L Reiser III (Heather), Dawn Diamond (Steve), Julie Neatrour (Duke), Doug Reiser (Stephanie). Siblings: James Mirable, Sandra Mirabile (Bob Dunmyer), Joseph (Roxanne Houser), Barbara (Jeff Utnik), Michael (Shelly Thomas). Grandchildren: Jeb, Rex and Nolan Reiser, Jerod, Ally and Dane Diamond, Sarah and Andrew Neatrour, Tyler Fegely. Joann graduated from Johnstown High School in 1964. She then became a licensed practical nurse, working at Mercy Hospital before getting married and having a family. Joann also waitressed several years at Surf N Turf. Joann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed family vacations at Virginia Beach and ladies bowling and golf leagues. Friends received 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, October 14 at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford Street. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Internment at Grandview Mausoleum. Thanks to Windber Hospice, especially Sherrie, for their caring service.
