Janet Yost

Janet L. (Martin) Yost, 86 Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on March 12, 2021. Born on December 14, 1934 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Thomas J. Martin and Florence I. (Cable) Martin. Preceded in death by Parents; husband, Edward R. Yost; sisters, Elizabeth Roth wife of James Roth, Vivian Gilman wife of Charles Gilman, and Carol Reed wife of William Reed. Brothers, Robert E. husband of Sara (Oldham) Martin, Richard L. husband of Patricia (Murphy) Martin, Thomas C. and Donald Martin. Survived by Sister-In-Laws Margaret and Audrey Martin. Survived by children David married to Debbra (Bell) Yost, Tracey married to Robert Cook Jr., and Dawn married to Keith Krouse. Preceded in death by grandchild David R. Yost Jr. Survived by Grandchildren Ian Yost married to Shelly (Tull) Yost, Megan (Cook) Clites married to Josh Clites, Ryan Krouse, and Dana Krouse partner Ryan Matthews. Great grandchildren Alana Clites, Zoey and Gunner Yost, Kendyll, Kace, and Kenzington. Step Grandchildren Michelle Swintosky partner Brad Kendall, Eric Swintosky married to Heather (Whitmire), Shawn Swintosky married to Kristy (Stewart), and Jonathon Swintosky married to April (Shade). Also, 13 Step Great grandchildren, 1 deceased and 3 Step Great, Great grandchildren. Known affectionately as "Old Grandma" She loved her family and the Lord, and let us not forget Bingo, Gambling, and especially Scratch-Off Tickets. She was the best playmate and often had a bed full of baby dolls. Her family also would brag about her yummy cooking especially her mashed potatoes and stuffing. Arrangements are by John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Windber Hospice and First United Methodist Church on Vine Street in Johnstown. Thank you for the special care provided to her by Elaine, Cathy, Patty, Gloria, Krissy, and Wendy. Janet was the last surviving member of her family. So, for one last time the final roll call, Tessie, Tiny, Tootie, Tucker, Bobby, Dickie, Donnie, and Janet. We all will miss your smiling face!
