Janet Evelyn (Thompson) Rose

Janet Rose, a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Passed away on January 29th, 2025 at the age of 89 in San Diego, California. Born October 2nd, 1935 in Mineral Point, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Page) Thompson. Janet's lifelong dedication of caring for kids spanned over 40 years. She retired from South Bay Union School District as a special needs instructional aide and at a local church as a preschool teacher. She made a positive impact in many children's lives. She was an active member of the Salvation Army and graciously volunteered her time as a Sunday school teacher, Sunbeam and Girl Guard leader. She loved to sing and joined the Songsters to worship and praise God through music. Preceded in death by her son, Wendell Rose.             Janet is survived by her children; William Rose Jr., David and daughter-in-law Marlene Rose, Bruce Rose, Jeremy Rose, Brian Rose, Lisa Rose and Lori and son-in-law Walter Rivera. Also survived by her Grandchildren: Sara Rose, Joey Rose, Alyssa Rose, Kayla Rose, Abigail Rivera, Noah Rivera and Great Grandchildren: Lily Rose and Madilyn Rose and Nieces Trudy Yost and Connie Gilbert.
