James Sloan Obituary

James G. Sloan, Jr., 82, Johnstown, died February 3, 2021 at his residence. Born May 1, 1938, in Johnstown, son of James G., Sr. and Dorothy (Hahn) Sloan. Preceded in death by parents; and daughter, Brenda, in infancy. Survived by wife, Patricia (Penko); children, Gregory (Joyel Osborne); and Deanna (Steve Potochar); grandchildren, Shane and Madison Sloan; and siblings, Judith Muha and Larry Sloan. Jim was a retired pipefitter and was a member of Pipefitters Local #354 for 65 years. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and camping. By request, there will be no viewing. Funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or Windber Hospice. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St., is serving the Sloan family.
