Larison, James R., 90. Born 9-21-33 in Johnstown. Died 2-23-24 in Johnstown
Son of Frederick and Ellen Jane (Harris).
Preceded in Death by parents; wife Maryanne (Criswell / Toki); brothers: Herbert, Harold (Butch), Frederick, Thomas, Ronald, and Robert; Sisters: Elizabeth Hysong, and Ellen Jane Larison; Nephew Donald Hysong; and Grandchild Heather Grischott. Survived by Children Marian (Gregory) Grischott; Jeffery (Patricia) Criswell, and Melvin Todd (Andrea) Criswell. Grandchildren Melanie (Tyler) Spotz, Lauren, Matthew, Victoria, Benjamin, Chelsea (Tony) Jimenez, Rose, and Christian; Great Grandchildren Luke, Isabella, Evelyn, Nolan, Eden, Atlan, Alena. Also Survived by Sister-in-law Janet Larison, numerous Nieces and Nephews including special nieces Pam Hysong, Linda Eash, Pam Varner, Theresa Dutko, Katie Mason, and Stevie Watson. Jim retired after 45 years of service from the Gautier Roll Shop of Bethlehem Steel and J-Pitt Steel. He also worked for Wessel & Company Accounting Firm. As a child, Jim overcame Polio. He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Teams and Penn State fan. He enjoyed Gardening, the Pittsburgh Opera, Johnstown Symphony, plays at Cresson Lake Playhouse, and Broadway Shows. Friends will be received Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home at 215 Central Ave, Johnstown. Service will be officiated by the Reverend Nancy Threadgill at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 335 Locust Street, Johnstown on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Jim's Family would like to thank the entire staff at Arbutus Park Manor for their love and excellent care of "Jimmy / Jimbo". Also, Lisa Esmont, the Kennedy's, Betty and Russ Gramlich for their love and support of Jim.
