Irene Rose (Booty) Sprankle

Irene Rose Sprankle, 99, Johnstown, died March 13, 2025 at home. Born April 22, 1925 in Norwich, England, daughter of Frederick J. and Rose M. (Gannon) Booty. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Clarence; brother, Michael; granddaughter, Denise Burkhart; and son-in-law, Robert Thomas. Survived by children, David Sprankle (Donna); Margaret Thomas; and Patricia Tiffany (Robin); grandchildren, David Sprankle (Celeste); David Glover (Tammy); Robert Thomas, III (Lynnette); Rev. Stephen Tiffany (Christina); and Stacey Costa (John); grandson-in-law, Alan Burkhart; 10 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was a member of Derby Global Methodist Church. The family extends a heart-felt thankyou to Aseracare Hospice, especially LeeAnn and Gayle for the compassionate care given to Irene. Friends received 3-6PM Monday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where funeral service will be held 10AM Tuesday. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
