Ida C. (Schweitzer) Gallic-Richey

Ida C. Gallic-Richey, 95, Johnstown, died July 11, 2024, at St. Jude's Haven. Born February 5, 1929, in Johnstown. Daughter of George and Ida (Maurer) Schweitzer. Preceded in death by parents, 1st husband Alfred Gallic, 2nd husband Verner Richey, Brother Robert, sisters Alice Dorchak and Ethel Wyar, stepchildren Gerald Richey, Jeffrey Richey, stepmother Catherine Kyler. Survived by children Denise (James Beas), Mark Gallic (Joanne Patrick); stepchildren Dorene (Mark Quarry), Verner Richey; daughter-in-law Dorinda Richey; sister-in-law Audrey Griffith; grandchildren Benjamin Beas PHD (Lena), Stephen Gallic (Amanda), Todd Beas (Nicole), Sgt. Marcus Gallic (Amber), step-grandchildren Jeremy Quarry, Courtney Richey, Brianna Richey, Jessica Wingert; great grandchildren, Lillian and Evelyn Gallic, Mila and Luka Beas, Mateo and Rosalie Jillson-Beas; step great grandchild, Trey Bodash. She was a member of Greater Johnstown Chirstian Fellowship. She had previously worked at Conemaugh Hospital and Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Jude's, Heartland Hospice and Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship for their compassion. Friends will be received Friday, July 19, from 10 am until time of service at 11 am at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Pastor Jim Gay. Interment Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Haven or Greater Johnstown Chistian Fellowship.
