Herman G. Zilch, Jr., 84, Davidsville, died April 3, 2024 at Laurel View Village., Born May 19, 1939 in Johnstown, son of Herman, Sr. and Alice (Mikolich) Zilch. Preceded in death by parents; wife Beverly (Jones); infant son, Jonathan; brothers, Charles and Larry; and sisters, Doris Haupt, and Patricia Pentz. Survived by children, Elizabeth Barto, Rebecca Appel, and Herman, III (Melinda); grandchildren, Maura Barto, Brianna (Clint Gills), Joshua Barto (Becky), Kaitlynn (Nicholas Hyde), Kelsi Appel, Carys Appel, Herman Zilch, IV, and Hayden Zilch; great grandsons, Hunter, Easton, and Lewis Gills, and Bryson Hyde; and brother, Edward. Herman was retired from GTE and Ameriserv. He was a US Army Veteran. By request, funeral service will be private. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills is serving the Zilch family.
