Henry R. Streilein

STREILEIN- Henry R., 76, Johnstown. Passed away March 7, 2020. Born June 30, 1943 in Johnstown. Son of Heinrich and Otillie (Zimmer) Streilein. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Ruth Ferg and Martha Barnhart and brother Albert. Survived by wife of over 53 years, Carol (Hilbrecht); son Jon of Johnstown; sister Kathy married to Kevin Huston of Indiana, PA; goddaughter Dr. Lauren Hakkinen married to Michael Gleicher; mother-in-law Mildred Hilbrecht; sisters -in-law Gretchen (Hilbrecht) married to Donald Hakkinen of Doylestown and Cindy (Hilbrecht) married to David Snavely of Charlestown, WV; nieces and nephews; and grand nieces and grand nephews. Member of Zion Lutheran Church, B.P.O. Elks Lodge #175 and the Harmony Singing Society. He was a model train enthusiast. Henry enjoyed golfing, hunting, skiing and woodworking. He was a 1961 Johnstown High School graduate where he served as a chairman of the reunions and Indiana State Teachers College graduate. Also, he was a math teacher at Greater Johnstown High School and an instructor at UPJ. Friends will be received from 10:00 until time of funeral at 12:00 Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church. Rev.
