Goehres, Henry, 104, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed peacefully with his family by his side on August 18, 2021.Born on December 4, 1916 in Johnstown, PA. Son of the late Jacob and Katherine (Koch) Goehres. Husband of the late Mildred Goehres. Survived by daughter, Ruth Oyler, and son Paul Goehres; Grandchildren, Ryan Oyler and wife, Kimberly; Allison Muney and husband, Chad; Matthew, Jonathan and Naomi Goehres; Thomas Kent and wife, Jaqueline. Eight great-grandchildren. Henry worked as a welder in the Johnstown steel mills from a young age and until his retirement. A World War II veteran, he was a man of quiet and steadfast faith who always looked to life with joy and humor. The legacy he leaves behind cannot be put into words but lives on in every life he touched. Friends will be received Tuesday from 10:30 am until time of funeral service at Noon at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Pastor Michael VanDyke. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
