Helene M. Hoffman

Helene M. Hoffman, 94, Johnstown, died October 30, 2023, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born July 29, 1929, in Johnstown, daughter of Fred J. and Gertrude (Pulvermiller) Hoffman. Preceded in death by parents; brothers Fred C., William, Karl; sisters Anna Marie Fisher, Irene Gyan. Survived by sister Mary Lou Penatzer also, a number of nieces, nephews and their children. Helene was a 1947 graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School. Retired in 1987 from First Commonwealth Bank as bookkeeper and assistant cashier. After a 39-year career which began at the Dale National Bank in 1948. She was lifelong member of St. Benedict Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Benedict Church on, Thursday at 10AM with Fr. David Peles. Interment St. John Cemetery. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills is serving the family.
