MACDOWELL- Helen R., 96, Johnstown. Passed away October 14, 2023, at Memorial Medical Center. Born December 13, 1926, in Indian Head, PA. Daughter of Rev. Alexander L and Laura E. (Gutherie) Thompson. Preceded in death by parents, husband Donald, and son Richard. Survived by children, Robert A. and Kathy Rand (Drew); and sister, Ann Kyler all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Chris MacDowell (Jiyhun), Andy Rand (Alexis), Katie MacDowell (Tom), and Meghan Rand; and great granddaughter, Abby MacDowell. Member of the former Christ United Methodist Church. At Helen's request, there will be no viewing and no service. Donations may be made to Cambria County Humane Society. John Henderson Co.
