Helen A. (McClure) Long, 92, Davidsville, went to be with her Lord on January 30, 2025. Born July 13, 1932, daughter of Robert, Jr. and Helen McClure. Preceded in death by parents; her beloved husband, Earl E., Jr. "Pappy"; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert, III and Betty McClure. Survived by much loved children, Earl E., Jr. (Joy Reffner), Johnstown; Nancy A (Michael Georgal), West Seneca, NY; John T. (Roberta Harmon), Arkadelphia, AR; and Janet H. (James Rose), Johnstown. Also survived by her brother, Rev. John McClure, Latrobe; and brother-n-law, Rev. Donald Long, Quincy, MA; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren, who were the love of her life. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she was involved with youth ministries, Awana Program, and many Bible Studies. Helen and Earl cooked for many mission trips including with Mission Discovery in the Bahamas. Two of Helen's loves were her flowers and her garden, and watching her birds. The family extends a heart-felt thankyou to 365 Hospice for their excellent care, love and support. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 at 3PM at West Hills Community Church, where she was a member. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills is serving the Long family.
