Helen (Salata) Lehman

LEHMAN- Helen, 97, of Johnstown, was a woman of faith. She loved God and placed her trust in Jesus. Helen went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2024. Born January 24, 1927. Daughter of John and Anna (Yanko) Salata. Preceded in death by parents, husband James A. Sr., daughter Janet Alvarez, and grandson Alexander Lehman. Survived by children, James Jr. (Gloria Shawley), Carol Bell special friend Al Eash, Thomas (Georgia Samo) and Richard P. (Marg Mihalik) all of Johnstown; brother George Salata; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; and special friend, Tillie Yanchez. Member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church. Helen loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and their families. She enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles. Friends will be received Thursday from 3-7 at Henderson Funeral Home, East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. where Parastas will be sung at 6:45. Panachida will be held at 9:15 at the funeral home, followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10:00 Friday at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church. Rev. Dr. Robert Oravetz, officiating. Entombment at Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church or a charity of choice.
