Harry had been on dialysis for almost 9 years which took a toll on his heath. He was proud to have served his country in the U.S.A.F for 20 years. He later retired from the Johnstown United States Postal Service after 28 years. He loved being a veteran and would talk to anyone that would listen about his service career. He enjoyed bird watching, singing, going out for breakfast especially at Valley Dairy. We would always say "He lived to eat!" and sit on his porch. He also liked to send cards for every holiday. He would even send cards for holidays we did not know existed. He was a "one-of-a-kind man". He was a jokester and had a rare gift of telling jokes and making people laugh. We would like to send a special thank you to his caregivers Michael Doane and Elizabeth "Liz" Petruska who were there for him, not only as caretakers, but as his friend. We could not have done it without them. Special neighbor Terri Arnone who kept an eye on him. Davita Dialysis- Napoleon Street, Interim Healthcare and Conemaugh Home Health. Dad, give Mom a great big hug from us and treat her good in Heaven. We will miss you both tremendously. Forever, we will love you and always we will miss you.
