George T. Philibin

George T. Philibin , 77, Johnstown, died May 9, 2026 at Richland Health Care. Born November 7, 1948 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Tricia Ann; and brother, John survived by wife, Grace (Stanton); daughter, Karen Williams; grandson, Bryan Williams; great granddaughter, Sophia Williams; and brother, Edward (Lynn). George was a singer and past president of the Somerset Roof Garden Chorus and was a talented musician. He retired from Penelec. He was a graduate of Johnstown High School, Class of 1968. He was a US Army vet of the Vietnam Era. Friends received Thursday from 10AM until the hour of service at noon at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Military rite will be conducted by Chas. Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnstown SPCA.
