George Jacob McGuire, "Red", 81, Johnstown, died October 5, 2023 at Windber Woods. Born March 24, 1942 in Johnstown. Son of the late George H. and Rosella (Shellhammer) McGuire. Survived by son, George Andrew McGuire; siblings Mary C. Nolte, James R. McGuire, Janice (George Murphy) niece, Anna Cross (Donald); nephews, John Murphy and Ryan Murphy; great nephews, Kyle Cross (Nicole), and Brandon Cross (Adria); and great nieces and nephews, MacKenzie, Madelyn, Timothy, Ayden, and Treyton. Friends will be received Monday from 4-6 pm at John Henderson company Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Inurnment Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cover Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
