Preceded in death by wife Ramona "Monie" (Kaufman) and son Robert "Gary", and siblings: Clarence, Raymond, Emma, Ivy, Betty, Luella, Ruby, Helen, and Hazel. Survived by children Walt (Kathy) Churchey, Patty (Kenny) Kordell, Wendy (Mark) Koontz and Daughter-in-law Carolyn Churchey; 12 Grandchildren and 18 Great-grandchildren. Also survived by Brother-in-law Eugene Kaufman. Garfield was one of 10 children, and the last surviving member of his immediate family. He Loved vacations and camping with Monie and his family; and was always ready for partying with Tom and Em, Art and Vera, Paul and Wilma, Bonnie and Dick, Donna and Sam, Evie and Mike, Doris and Dick, Chester and Sue, etc. etc. and the rest of the gang. He was an over the road truck driver for Inter-State Motor Freight for many years. After he retired he was busy making lawn furniture out in his workshop to sell at local flea markets. When he retired from that, he drove the buses for MacIlwain and LodeStar Bus Lines, and rode his trike until he was in his late 80's. Last winter you could still find him plowing the snow with his tractor. This summer, at 97, he was still cutting his grass, cooking his meals and baking bread to share with his family and friends. He was Truly Loved by all who knew him, and will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and faithful canine companion Molly. The Family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Maharajh and Dr. Pidutti for their care that kept him going all these years. And to all of Junie's "Sweethearts" at the Villa Crest and Westmont Woods, Thank you for your kindness and special care over the last few months. At his request there will be no viewing. Interment will be at the Grandview Mausoleum at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cambria County Humane Society, 743 Galleria Drive Ext.
