DAVIS- Florence "Dee Dee" M., 100, Johnstown. Passed away peacefully on May 23, 2023 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born August 26, 1922 in Johnstown. Daughter of Frank "Dewey" and Rosella (Stricker) McKendree. Preceded in death by parents, husband John W., son Mark R., sisters Clara Pankoke and Rose Mary Sipe and brothers Jake and Robert. Survived by son, William F. (Patricia); grandchildren, Shawn Davis (Tracy), Camie Davis (Herbert King), Wendy Davis (Kevin Tomechak) and Marc Davis (Michaeleen); great grandchildren, Taylor, Chase, Hannah, Lakyn, Braden, Ella, Ethan, Tyler, Brady and Paxton; and sister Susan. She was a faithful, christian woman who was an active member of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. Also, a member of Middle Taylor Ladies Auxiliary. Dee Dee was a cook at Middle Taylor Grade School and a retired LPN from Memorial Hospital, Maternity Ward before becoming a private duty nurse for Windber Hospice. Friends will be received Saturday from 10:30 until time of funeral service at 11:00 at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. Rev. Rob Wolf, officiating. Entombment at Grandview Mausoleum.
