Evelyn E. (Eisenberg) Jacobs

JACOBS- Evelyn E., 92, Johnstown. Passed away April 25, 2019 at her residence. Born December 12, 1926 in Johnstown. Daughter of Joseph and Anna (Silverman) Eisenberg. Preceded in death by her parents, first husband Nate Ruder, second husband David Jacobs, brothers Jack, Morris, Phillip and Herman, sister Ruth Eisenberg, and her dog Sza Sza. Survived by children Joni married to Robert Weaver of Johnstown and Joel of Los Vegas; grandchildren Adam Audi and Nicole married to Aaron Edwards; great grandchildren Nicholas Edwards, who she dearly cherished; sisters-in-law Marie, Edythe and Joann; and best friend Audrey Nahorniak. Member of Beth Sholom Congregation, Sisterhood, and Hadassah. She was very devoted to her Jewish faith. Evelyn was a talented violinist, dancer and artist. She enjoyed sewing and knitting. She was a natural with everything that she set out to do. Besides being owner of Ruder’s Amusements, she helped her brothers at S&K Sales during the holidays, and worked at Fun City. Friends will be received from 1:00 until time of funeral service at 2:00 Monday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Rabbi Irvin Brandwein. Committal at Ahavath Achim Cemetery.
