Ernest E. Boerstler, "Ernie", 94, Johnstown, died March 10, 2026 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 24, 1931 in Johnstown, son of Joseph and Gertrude (Miller) Boerstler. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, Jack; and sister-in-law, Vera Boerstler. Survived by children, Debra Nichols (Kevin); and Eric Boerstler (Linda); grandchildren, Cara, Lakyn, Cheryl, Hannah, Christian, and Aurora; 6 great granddaughters and one on the way; nephews; and close friend, Julie Price. Ernie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was retired from US Steel. Friends received Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 10AM until the time of memorial service at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church. John Henderson Company Funeral Home is serving the Boerstler family.
