Emma Mangum

We are sad to announce that on June 5, 2023, at the age of 83, Emma Mangum of Johnstown, Pennsylvania passed away. Born on June 29, 1939, daughter of William and Myra (Leslie) Bush. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Joseph Mangum; siblings, William, Leslie, Russell, Thelma, Edith Bush, Iris Smith, Mally Mangum, and Doris Rogers; brothers-in-law Charles Rogers and Henry Mangum. Survived by; children Joseph, Wanda, Carolyn Mangum (Jocelyn) and Takesha Dickens; grandchildren Marie Hawkins, Isaiah, Amani , Ricco Mangum; sister Etta Coleman; Special great-grands; Ayzahna, Anaya, Aiden, Aijahn, Ava Tisinger, Jordyn Powell, Ayrianna Wolf and Rihanna Mangum; godchildren, James Bush and Camilla Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Emma was a true caregiver to all and took care of her family as the matriarch. She was the church mother of Jefferson Memorial Church of God in Christ. Family and friends will be received Monday, June 12 from 10:00 until the hour of service at 11:00 at Jefferson Memorial, 325 William Penn Avenue with the Bishop Joseph McGauley officiating. A repast for the family will follow. Arrangements are by John Henderson Company Funeral Home.
