Ella Louise “Grammy” Leap, 96, passed away surrounded by loving family, September 25, 2018, at Conemaugh Hospital. She was born April 5, 1922, in Hooversville, daughter of the late Rev. William E. and Mary Florence (Trout) Sunday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar D. Leap; sisters, Eleanor Hoffman (Harry G. Hoffman); Helen Epstein (Benjamin Epstein); and Dorothy Geraldine Sunday; and nephews, Jack “Huffy” Hoffman and William Hoffman. She is survived by her son, Thomas D. Leap, and wife, Dianne L. (Curley); granddaughters, Melissa M. (Leap) Fisher, and husband, Matthew J.; Rebecca L. (Leap) Harvey, and husband, R. Reid; and Jessica M. (Leap), and special friend, Bobby Zada; great grandchildren, Owen H. Harvey and Maxson T. Fisher; brother-in-law, Orie G. Leap, and wife, Judith (McCreary); and niece, Betty (Fender) Hoffman and family Rick Hoffman and Connie (Hoffman) Baker. Louise loved gardening, camping, fishing, knitting, and family pets. Most of all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, who dearly loved her family. Louise worked 30 years as a medical secretary/receptionist for Dr. P.J. Mihalic, of Johnstown.
