Elaine M. (Wingenbach) Korn

KORN- Elaine M., 90, Johnstown. Passed away August 4, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born April 27, 1933 in Erie. Daughter of Leo and Anne (Pfeufer) Wingenbach. Preceded in death by her parents and husband Albert R. "Al,"  great granddaughter Josie Sweigart and brother James Wingenbach (Geraldine Kessler).  Survived by children, Mark and his companion Anita Mesich of Greensburg, Kathy Gray (Gary) of Carmel, IN, Patty Rutledge (Chris) of Johnstown, and Jim of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Richard Wingenbach (Joyce) of Erie; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Former active member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and most recently a member of St. Clement Catholic Church. Elaine took pride in her flowers. She enjoyed baking and spending time with friends on her porch, whether it was in Johnstown or Sun City, AZ. She especially loved spending time with her family. One of the family's favorite annual traditions was partaking in Elaine's German dish of pork roast, potato dumplings and hot slaw. Friends will be received Friday, August 11, 2023 from 11:00 until 1:00 at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., followed by a memorial mass at 1:30 at St. Clement Catholic Church.
