Edward Eugene Toney

TONEY – Edward, ­­­69, Johnstown, went to be with Our Lord October 13, 2019. Born March 8, 1950, son of Fess Sr. and Carrie Toney. Preceded in death by his parents; son Jerome Toney: brothers, Fess Jr., Alraphus Sr. and Willie D.; sisters: Ida Britt, Lois McGhee and Doris Tisinger and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, James Britt, Earl Jackson Sr. Matthew Tisinger Sr. and Leroy Lawrence, Georgia Hill and Jeanette Toney. Survived by his children, Jeanette Ware, Andrea Jones and Rhonda Jones; 4 great-grandchildren; 10 grandchildren brothers and sisters, Mary Jackson, Joann Lawrence, Creola Rawles (Fred), Ruby Toney (Kenneth), Deacon Emmanuel Toney (Linda);God daughter, Keneisha Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. His dear friend Tom Brown. Edward served at St. James Baptist Church in Johnstown Pa., for many years. He was a former employee of the Enterprise Construction Company. The Toney family extends a heart-felt thank you to the donor, doctors, and medical staff who gave him a second chance to enjoy life with a heart transplant.  Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at St. James Baptist Church, 400 Pine Street Johnstown PA 15902., where his home going service will be held at noon Friday, the Rev. Dr. Ralph Johnson, officiating. Committal, Benshoff  Hill Cemetery. John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.
