Rose, Dwight David, 58, of Johnstown passed surrounded with family November 4th, 2023. Born May 13, 1965, in Johnstown, he was the son of Burley E. Jr. and Maxine Y. (Joy) Rose. Preceded in death by parents, sister Ursula Y. Rose, paternal grandparents Burley E. Sr. and Alma Rose and maternal grandparents Arthur and Carrie Joy Sr., and Uncle Donald A. Rose. Survived by loving sisters Mrs. Lisa (Reverend Jesse) Hellams, Taylors, SC, Crystal L., and Denise R. Rose Johnstown. Nieces Keisha (Gavin Sr.) Smith, goddaughter Nefertari (Kendrick) Wilson, Ursula and Chantal. Nephews Quatrell and Teyvon. Grand nieces and nephews Amari, Zachari, Gabriel, Gavin Jr. Kyleigh, Carmelo, and Zane. Also survived by uncles Reverend Dennis (Donna) Rose, Cincinnati, OH and Arthur (Melani) Joy, Toledo, OH. Aunts Barbara Harrod, Hampton, VA and Brenda Rose Johnstown. Special cousins, God-sister Monique Charlton, Anthony Banks, Gregory Carter, Crystal Banks. Special friends Mark Moore, Aaron Lewis, and Demitrius Morris. A host of cousins and friends. Dwight was a 1985 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. He's always had a caring spirit and helping others was his passion. He devoted 30 years of his life as a caregiver and most recent spending time assisting children at Flood City Youth Fitness Academy. Dwight was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church accepting Christ in his teens. Family will receive friends from 4pm to 8pm Friday at Christ Centered Community Church, 531 Somerset Street and again from 10am until Homegoing Celebration at 11am. Reverend Sylvia King officiating, Reverend Clyde Williams Jr. eulogist. Interment will follow in Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
