Doris Powell Obituary
Doris L. Powell, 98, Johnstown, died February 4, 2024 at Heritage Ridge. Born February 22, 1925 in Johnstown, daughter of Virgil and Ruth (Pebley) Berkebile. Preceded in death by parents; husband, James; son, Jimmy; great grandson, Kendrik Johns; and brothers, Lawrence and Doyle. Survived by children, Greg (Glenda Berkebile); and Bonita (Ronald Johns); 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. The family extends a heart-felt thankyou to the staffs at Windber and Conemaugh Hospices, and Heritage Ridge. By request, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held 11AM Thursday at Richland Cemetery, with Rev. Carl Irwin officiating. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills is serving the Powell family.
