Doris Eichenser Obituary

Doris Jean Eichenser, 89, Johnstown, died March 12, 2023 at The Patriot. Born March 2, 1934 in Johnstown, daughter of Joseph and Anna (Botter) Budney. She had a wonderful family that she adored. Preceded in death by parents; and sister, Joanne. Survived by husband of nearly 60 years, Robert; son, Brian; granddaughter, Brooke; sister, Donna (Leo Tomlinson) and nephews, David, Douglas, and Darren Tomlinson. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Mostly, Doris was a stay-at-home mom. In later years, she worked at the credit card department for a local bank, and at Niessner's Flowers for one of her best friends, Lorrie Burns. She had a wonderful group of friends from work, and friends of family and especiallly from the "Walters Avenue Gang", with the Burns, Furry, Stull, Colvin and Smith families. Friends received 3-6PM Friday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. Funeral mass will be held 10AM Saturday at St. Benedict Church with Father David Peles as celebrant. (Those attending are asked to meet at the church.) Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
