Donna E. (Fields) Hunter

  On April 22, 2025, Donna Fields-Hunter passed away from natural causes at her home.  She was 69 years old. She was born in Johnstown on August 6, 1955. She was raised on Singer Street in “the Borough”. Graduating from Johnstown High School in 1972, she worked at Bethlehem Steel, Penelec, and as a nurses aide and then a teacher assistant at HeadStart.  Preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Edmond Fields, her parents Horace “Baldy” and Rosabell Fields and her older sister, Janet “PeeWee” Jackson Fields. She lost her best friend and husband, Bruce N. Hunter, in 2013. She was the loving mother of Roshon Fields and Alan Williams. Grandmother of Roshon, A. Rameer “Ray Ray”, Elijah, Christopher, Nevaeh, Ciara, Cameron, Ava, Amara, Avery and Alshon. Great grandmother to Kiera, Malona and Kalena. She survived by her only brother Harry (Catherine) Fields, nieces Stacy, Candyce, Heather and Sommer.  She leaves to mourn her companion, Alan “Lynn” Price and her lifelong girlfriend, Janice Thomas. So many cousins, family, close friends and coworkers will miss her huge smile.  All of Johnstown will miss her. Friends will be received Saturday from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at noon at Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, 351 2nd Street, E. Conemaugh, PA 15909, Rev. Maurice Williams.
