Donald D. Wingard, Sr., 78, Johnstown, died April 21, 2023 at home. Born August 12, 1944 in Johnstown, son of Lester and June (Reed) Wingard. Preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Barry and Robert. Survived wife, Elsa (Siehl); sons, Donald D., Jr, Charlestown, WV; Kenneth (Betty Jo Unger), Summerville, SC; and David, Johnstown; grandchildren, Meghan (Seth Stallard); Kaitlin Wingard; Kenneth Wingard, Jr.; and David Wingard; great granddaughter, Paysleigh Wingard; and sister, Carol Gittler, Wyomissing. He was a member of Oakland U.M. Church. He was a retired diesel mechanic from Conemaugh and Blacklick Railroad with 35 years of service. Friends received 4-7PM Monday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., and Tuesday from 9AM until the hour of service at 10AM at Oakland U.M. Church with Rev. Jeremy Barkley officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cambria County Humane Society.
