Debra Tralee (Alkire) Cussen

Debra Tralee Alkire Cussen, 66, of Cape Coral Florida, passed away peacefully Monday August 14, 2023, with her husband at her side.

Debra Tralee was born February 25, 1957 in Johnstown, PA, daughter of Russell and Elizabeth Alkire.  She was married to Remington Cussen and spent 38 years together raising their two daughters, Devon Elizabeth Alkire-Cussen (David) of San Francisco, CA and Alaina Jane Hall (Shaun) of Erie, PA.

She taught computer technology at Mountain View Christian Academy for many years and later was a Substitute teacher for Winchester City and Frederick County Public Schools. She also taught in the overseas US military schools in Wiesbaden Germany from 2007 to 2010. She loved plants and gardening, travelling and adventure, and celebrating with family and friends. She currently attended Crosspoint Christian Church in Cape Coral, FL and was a member of Mountain View Church of Christ, in Winchester, VA.

She is survived by her husband, children, and one grandchild, Rosalie Rowland Hall, plus brothers Mark Alkire of NYC and Russell Roland Alkire III of Brevard, NC. She was preceded in Death by her parents and a brother, Ross Alkire.
