Daniel H. Egts

Egts, Daniel, 77, Richland, died peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020. Born Feb. 13, 1943; he was preceded in death by parents Howard Egts Jr. and Rita (Buser). He was survived by his widow, Linda (Tomak); his children, David Egts married to Melissa (Hartfiel) Stow, OH and Stephen Egts married to Warren Rickart Washington, DC; granddaughter, Lauren Egts; and sisters, Angela Thompson and Patricia Pentrack. He was a former employee of Bethlehem Steel, U.S. Steel Corp. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he enjoyed traveling and going to dinner with his best friend and wife, Linda. He also spent many hours in his garden, making homemade jelly and teaching his granddaughter Lauren, who was the light of his life, how to plant, grow and harvest vegetables and berries. Hobbies included puttering around the garage, making creations out of wood or fixing all the things that seemed to mysteriously break. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the charity of your choice per the deceased's request. There will be no visitation, however family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. Patrick's Church, 600 Park Ave., Johnstown (Moxham), PA, on Tuesday January 5 at 10:00 am, performed by Very Rev. James F. Crookston. Masks at the service are expected. His interment will be at Richland Cemetery by Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills.
