Constance Koontz

Constance "Connie" Pannone Koontz, of Belmont, passed away on November 18, 2024, at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown, PA. Born March 28, 1936 in Johnstown. Connie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, James Koontz; grandson Joshua Marrocco, infant grandson Eric Koontz, and brothers Charles and Anthony. Connie is survived by her sister, Mary C. Pannone, whom she lived with for the past 30 years, daughters Kim Raymond and husband Robert of Niagara Falls, NY, and Victoria Emmett and husband Kevin of Sarasota, FL. Connie is survived by grandsons Santino Love, Niagara Falls, NY; Elliot Love and wife Meredith, Buffalo, NY; Joseph DeLuca and wife Jolijn, Amsterdam; and great- granddaughter Gianna Love. Connie is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A dog lover for years, Connie recently learned to love cats when she and her sister adopted George, a particularly loving, intelligent, beautiful stray who misses her dearly. Until the day she died, Connie had a special way with animals. They instantly loved her! She could be in a room full of people, and any dog or cat would run to her, sit on her lap or cuddle next to her, and totally adore her. Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. A special thank you to the staff of Arbutus Park Manor West Wing for the love and kindness they extended to Connie. Connie is a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Friday, November 22, 2024.
