Clarissa E. (Bush) Carter

We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2023, at the age of 74, Clarissa E. (Bush) Carter, of Johnstown, passed away at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 7, 1949, daughter of Iris (Bush) Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Carter; siblings, Lee "Sonny" and Louise Bush; and nephew, Darnell Bush, Sr. Survived by Godchildren, Rostina Gordon, Necole Bush, and Parrish Pridgen; "special brother", James Bush; "special daughters", Antoinette Bush and Faith Coleman; special great nephew, Darnell Bush, Jr; special friend, Roxanne Berry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Clarissa devoted much of her life to the Salvation Army. For a long time, she took the pleasure in reminding all of the Bush extended family that she was the 'oldest cousin". By request, there will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held 11AM Thursday, December 14th at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave.
