Charles Bishop

Charles "Chuck Da Plumber" Bishop, 68, Johnstown, died April 4, 2019 at West Penn Hopsital. Born August 25, 1950 in Johnstown, son of Charles H. Sr. and Marie G. (Wilde) Bishop. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Emma Jane Bishop and infant granddaughter Heaven Hauger. Survived by wife, Janet (Barnhart) Bishop; brothers, Charles J. and Don Bishop (Lisa Brumley); sister, Freda Cavanaugh, seven children, Jennifer Hill, Branden, Crystal and Todd Helbig (Jaime Fieser), Steven Orris, Nate Bishop and Jessica Younkin, eleven grandchildren, Mitchell, Morgan and partner Jeremy Johnson, Nicolas, Rozy, Angel, Gabriel, Jacob, Branden J. "BJ", Elijah, Aubrey and Nevaeh and three great grandchildren, Hannah, Ryleigh and Jalen. He had an Associate Degree in Business Management. He was the Master Plumbing Specialist at The Home Depot for 12 years. He loved his co-workers and considered them his work family. The most important thing in his life was the family we created. We were a yours, mine and ours family but blood meant nothing to him. He took in a foster child who became our daughter as much as any of the others. He loved every child and grandchild as though they were his own flesh and blood. He found out two years ago that he was not an only child, but he loved his siblings as if he had a lifetime with them. He was so proud to be a "Big Brother".He loved God and his country and was a US Marine. He loved going to Wildwood, NJ and walking the boardwalk and seeing the beach. He will be so sadly missed by family and all the friends he made along the way in life. Friends will be received Tuesday from noon until time of memorial service at 1:00 pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Pastor Chris Valente.
