Betty Louise (McCarty) Reed

Betty Louise Reed, 95, Johnstown, died April 28, 2025 at Memorial Medical Center. Born February 20, 1930 in Johnstown. Daughter of Oliver Wendell and Olive Mae (Gillespie) McCarty. Preceded in death by parents, 1st husband John Reed, 2nd husband Thomas Miller and 3rd husband Jack Minzer, siblings Robert, James and Anthony McCarty, Doris Bassett , Beverly Stein and Cheryl Darlene, grandchildren Melissa Jeske and Carl T. Jeske. Survived by children Thomas Reed (Patty Turner) and Sherry Jeske (Carl); grandchildren Michael Reed (Becki), John Reed, Candice Reed, Kayla Ribaric (Aaron), Dawn Marie Christy, Betty Beaner (Cletus); 32 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; siblings Jerry McCarty, Marion Fresch and Oliver W. McCarty Jr.; numerous nieces nephews and cousins. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene where she was in the church choir. She enjoyed puzzle books, bowling and collecting angels and horses. She retired from MMC. Friends will be received Friday from 11am until time of funeral service at 1 at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Pastor Gary Masorjak. Interment Headrick Cemetery.
