Betty Adams Obituary

Betty L. Adams, 87, Johnstown, died December 22, 2024. Born August 31, 1937, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by mother Violet Miller; loving sons Harry T. Adams III and Mark C. Adams; brother Charles Miller and sister Mae Lloyd. Survived by husband of 68 years Harry T. Adams Jr., loving daughters Connie (Don) Petak and Patricia (Adam) Ribblett and Carol Slanac who was like a daughter to her. Adored grandchildren who were her life and world Kyle J Petak (Elise) and Courtney (Bryan) Minnie; great granddaughter Payton R. Minnie whom she loved and adored; loving cat Baby; also survived by brothers and sisters, Harold Miller, Richard Miller, Mary J. Spaugy, Larry Miller and Debby Hunter. Also, cousin Kenny Blough who was like a brother to her. Also, many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews. Special friends Shirley Statler who was always there for her and Sally Mackell. A special thank you to Louise Chervenak for always being there for her. Thank you to Conemaugh hospice especially Lindsey, Gina and Beth, also, her special girls at Quality Life. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed going on family vacations, going to the casino and scratch off lottery tickets. She loved going shopping with her daughter. She loved and adored her grandchildren and was very proud of them. She would travel to Florida every year to spend time with her daughter and granddaughters. She was a member of Homestead Ave. United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir, she always said "They were all like family to her." She was a devoted wife who took care of her husband until she got ill and could no longer provide care to him. Mom, we will remember your laughter and smile and the look you had when you saw your grandchildren, we will miss you so much. Please watch over us from Heaven until we are all together again. Forever we will miss you and always we will love you. Friends will be received Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, Pastor Carol Hickman. Interment Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Homestead Ave. United Methodist Church in her memory.
