Bette M. Wizniak

WIZNIAK- Bette M., 93, Johnstown. Born September 26, 1926 in Philipsburg. Passed away March 1, 2020 in Johnstown. Daughter of Charles and Lois (Comley) Johns. Preceded in death by parents, son Rickie Altemus, husband Michael Wizniak, brother Roy Johns and sister Doris Mae Wood. Survived by sons Roy and James Altemus; sister Nancy McCauliff; and Ashley Altemus. She was dearly loved by her family. A Ferndale Area High School graduate. Attended Cambria Rowe Community College. Former employee of Pitt Airlines at the Cambria County Airport, Johnstown. Also, she was the former Secretary of Iron City Sash & Door, Windber and Assistant Administrator at Johnstown Chamber of Commerce. She loved to paint, winning first place, for a portrait, at the 1989 Annual SAC Art Show. The family would like to thank staffs Arbutus Manor and Windber Hospice for their excellent care and compassion Bette received. Friends will be received from 10:00 until time of funeral service at 11:00 Wednesday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
