Ceglar, Bertha Barbara (Gyukery), 98, Johnstown, formerly of East Conemaugh, passed away on March 8, 2026. Born on June 21, 1927, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by husband, Carl William Ceglar and eleven siblings. Survived by children: Theresa Kohler (Joseph), Kathleen Lentz (Gerald), Carol Ceglar, Carl Andrew Ceglar (Sherri), and Carleen Ceglar; grandchildren: Joseph Kohler (Meghan), Sarah Sakmar (Jonathan), Melanie Sanford, Stephanie Vadakupuram (Naveen), Tasha Moore (Bud), Kristen Brock, Carleigh Ceglar, and Caitlin Weimer, and 10 great grandchildren. Bertha was a member of Saint Benedict’s Catholic Church, Geistown, and a former member of the Church of the Transfiguration, Conemaugh. She was a 1945 graduate of Johnstown High School, worked at Goldstein & Levin, and was a lifelong seamstress. The Ceglar family expresses their deepest gratitude to Kathleen and Gerald Lentz, and Carleen Ceglar -- Bertha’s loving, caring, and dedicated long-time caregivers. The family would also like to thank Richland Healthcare and Rehabilitation and Laurel Hospice for their loving care. Friends will be received 3-6PM Wednesday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford Street, Johnstown. Funeral Mass will be held 10AM Thursday at Saint Benedict’s Catholic Church. Committal at Grandview Cemetery.
