Benjamin G.W. Poore, 70, Johnstown, died October 22, 2023 at home. Born July 5, 1953 in Philadelphia, son of William D.D. and Eliza T. (Whitlock) Poore. Preceded in death by parents, brother Ronald Poore and brother-in-law Raymond Ostapowicz. Survived by loving wife Regina L. (NaBuda) Poore; sons Benjamin W. Poore and Ralph J. (Holly Blough); sister Donna Ostapowicz; brothers William B. (Susan) and James M.; sister-in-law LaVerne NaBuda and grandson Jamison C. He was a member of West Hills Community Church. A Navy Vietnam Veteran. He was a published author of two books. He retired from Johnstown Vo-Tech after 35 years of service. The family would like to thank Windber Hospice and Presbyterian Hospital of Pittsburgh floor 5D for the great care and compassion they provided. Friends will be received Thursday from 9:30 until time of service at 11:00 am at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Entombment Richland Mausoleum where military rites will be conducted by VFW Menoher Post 155. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans or West Hills Community Church Building Fund.
