Regula - Barbara Ann (Pfuhl), 72, Johnstown, died June 18, 2020, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born March 9, 1948 in Portsmouth, Virginia, daughter of late Herbert Pfuhl, Jr. and survived by mother Phyllis I. (Meyer) Pfuhl. Survived also by husband of 46 years, James J. Regula; children Jacquelyn A. (Regula) Allen, wife of Michael P. Allen of Orlando, Florida; Ryan J. Regula of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren Alexis Marie, Michael James, Olivia Felicity, and Matthew Alexander. Sister of Debra, wife of J. Mark Schoming, Greensburg; Herbert Pfuhl III, married to Glenda (Warfel), Mechanicsburg; Paula, wife of Michael Urban, Fort Meyers, Florida; and Dawna, wife of Terry Brenner, Essex, Vermont. A 1966 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 1970 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in pre-medicine and was a varsity collegiate swimmer. A lifelong educator, Barbara was a high school teacher and coach for over thirty years including the past 21 years as a chemistry teacher at Bishop McCort High School. A loving wife and mother, Barbara knew that transcendence passes through the home. And it was in the home that Barbara devoted her life and practiced her Catholic faith, which included a strong devotion to Our Blessed Mother. She was a superb cook and baker. She loved to laugh, had a quick wit, and was always ready to give of herself. She was lovingly known as the "Queen" to her husband and "Mommom" to friends and family alike. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday June 21st at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Avenue, Johnstown, PA, 15902. Social distancing and face covering required at our facility. A Requiem Mass will be offered for her soul on Monday, June 22nd, 10:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Westmont, with burial to follow.
