Barbara A. Petruska, 78, Johnstown, passed away April 26, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her daughters. Born August 3, 1943 in Johnstown, daughter of John and Ann (Havrilla) Stofa. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Julius; and brother, John. Survived by daughters, Elizabeth, Theresa (Michael Doane), and Stacey, widow of Craig Beneke; grandchildren, Zachary and Taylor, who were the love of her life; siblings, David, Michael, and Valerie Evans; sister-in-law, Katie Stofa; special cousin, Joe Havrilla; many nieces and nephews, who were dear to her heart; and special grandpuppies, Bandit, Max, Pepi, Abigail, and Jasmine. She was a member of St. Michael Church (Brownstown); Brownstown Fire Hall; William Penn Association, Branch 8; and was a an instructor of the Hungarian Grape Dance. She retired from Ferndale School District with 33 years of service. Friends received Sunday 2-7PM at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Funeral mass will be held Monday at 10AM at St. Michael Church (Brownstown) with Father Mark Begley as celebrant. Committal, Grandview Cemetery.
