Barbara Marie (Barchak) Rodgers

Barbara Marie (Barchak) Rodgers, 88, Johnstown, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born July 18, 1936 in Johnstown, daughter of John and Anna (Kenjesky) Barchak. Preceded in death by parents; husband, David H.; brothers, Robert and John "Jack"; sisters, Phyllis Glover Strait, Betty Ann Kuras, Dolores in infancy, Patricia Jerpe and Bonny Himmer. Survived by brother, Joseph Charle Barchak; granddaughter, Sarah Rodgers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara taught elementary math in the Johnstown School District. She was an avid lover of reading, traveling, and snowmobiling. At Barbara's request, there will be no public viewing. A funeral mass will be held noon Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment, Beam Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Arbutus Park Manor. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, is in charge of arrangements.
