Barbara H. Mangus

Barbara Mangus, 89, Davidsville, died May 3, 2026, at Laurel View Village. Born August 3, 1936, in Johnstown, daughter of Aubrey Helsel and Bertha Wolford. she was the stepdaughter of Clarence "Kipe" Keiper. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William R. "Bill" Mangus; and brothers, Bob Helsel and Clarence Keiper. Survived by children, Brenda (Paul Van Valen); Todd (Charlotte Hunter); Melissa (Paul Brinkley) and Drew; grandchildren, Josh and Bella Brinkley; and brother, Kurt Keiper. She was a member of Oakland Church and was retired from the Tribune-Democrat. The Mangus family extends a heart-felt thankyou to the staffs of Laurel View Village, Memorial Medical Center and Distinctive Human Services for the care extended to Barbara.
