Barbara (Baker) Glessner

Barbara (Baker) Glessner, 84, Boswell, went to be with our Lord on December 24, 2025 at her home. Barbara was born on May 21, 1941 daughter of George and Florence Baker. Surviving are her loving husband George Brent Glessner; their daughter, Whitney (Glessner) Stanek, Brooksville, FL; and brother, George Baker, Allentown. Barbara was a graduate of Gettysburg College in 1963 earning Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a master's degree in 1968 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She taught school for the Greater Johnstown School District and was a guidance counselor for the Everett Area High School. She taught English while also serving as a guidance counselor for the Dover, DE School District. She worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for over 25 years as an unemployment claims interviewer. Along with her husband, George, she was an owner of the Hofbrau as well for 21 years. By request, there will be no viewing. Funeral service will be private. Arrangements are by John Henderson Company Funeral Home.
