Audrey (Sacks) Winston-Nahorniak

Audrey Winston-Nahorniak, 96, Johnstown, died April 17, 2022 at Windber Hospice. Born September 4, 1925 in Johnstown. Daughter of Louis M. and Rose (Block) Sacks. Preceded in death by parents, 1st husband Seldon A. Winston; 2nd husband John Nahorniack; sister Doris Kremer; nephew Barry Kremer. Survived by daughters Dara (Neil Dayen) and Rosemary Brant; grandchildren David Dayen and Jessica Dayen. She was a lifetime member of Beth Sholom Congregation-Sisterhood. She achieved her nursing education through Nurse Cadet Corp., graduate of Montefiore School of Nursing, volunteered at Conemaugh Hospital, board member of American Nursing Association, former member of the Pennwood players. Audrey lived life to the fullest. She greatly enjoyed music and singing. Friends will be received Thursday from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Rabbi Irvin Brandwein. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Windber Hospice. Interment Rodef Sholom.
